Super Jet 701 b pipe water tuning

k guys really need some help on this one, posted in other section, didnt get any hits.
701 superjet 62t
b pipe
12/17 skat
52psi pop off, gold springs
stock 38's
70 low jet, 135 high
1.5 needle seat
1 3/4 turn out on low speed needle like fp says
1/2 turn out on high
bottom screw on pipe closed, middle open 1 turn
top open almost all the way

so when im riding it, it accelerates good, but then starts to hesitate mid throttle, and then once it clears out it rips up top
feels like the waterbox is loading up, its an aluminum SN box
when i kinda of lean back and bounce it up and down, it feels like it hits like it should, like you have to get the rpms up or something
when doing a tail stand, and holding it full throttle it is barely keeping it self up
plugs looked fouled after riding today, stock plugs
i have single cooling, but am running dual pissers,
one line leaving head to the pisser
and the other line is out of the head pipe into the stinger, with a pisser T'd into it
HELP MEEEE!!!! Thanks so much guys

yea ive read people saying that you should close top and middle, and open the bottom. my pipe is not sizzling, do you think the water adjustments could cause such a large hesiation in my mid throttle response?

try to restricted the water into the stinger with a jet works valve or pinching it down some what. Also turn the top screw out 1-1/2 out. You might be putting to much water into the exhaust, Thats why on a tail stand it stalls out, it can't push all the water up and out.

yea i was thinking that too, tomorrow im going to open the top screw 1 turn, and also have my T'd line going into the pisser with the straight part, so only a little water goes to the waterbox, and also throw in a restrictor!thanks guys

so figured out my fuel filter was backwards, swapped that, also put a restrictor in my WB line, and turned my screws in more on my pipe, helped a little i guess. when riding, it seems the richer i go, the better it runs, but the plugs are still fouled. i have a side nose exhaust too. and its still takes full throttle to get out of a tailstand, and slowly at that!529468_391083814273881_1937930474_n.jpg

put in new plugs, trimmed the wires back, ran better, but still a hesitation down low, feels like its flooding itself, but if i lean out the low speed screw, it bogs like crazy, idkkk!!!!! im all ears!

yea possibly, but most people are running 12/17 on stock boats with great results. took it out today, and its just not hitting like it should. definetly runs better, but sometimes wants to hesitate, and it owuldnt even get over 40 today. it was doing about 50 or so yesterday. im thinking electronics, like stator?

ok, tested the compression, came out at 120psi per hole. man i WAS bummed. then i called my buddy for a second opinion, brought over his snap-on guage, and sure enough, 148.150 psi! okay the the compression is good, still running like poo. dont think it's the pro-tec cdi? it the more i open the low screw, the better it runs, so i must be lean? checked all lines, even put in new primer lines, also routed the res striaght into the carb, bypassing all the selector, still ran like poo. also checked pickups, seemed good, no leaks?????

Yours sounds like it runs just like mine. I have the same issue. I hope you grt it figurrd out. I recently cleaned my carbs and carbs and it helped it a bunch but still has more to gain... Good luck and ill let you know if I find anything that might help you.

ok! think i found the problem!!!!! when i trimmed my plug wires before, i forgot to pull on them to see if they were broken. so on a whim, i pulled off the boots to measure the ohms between the terminals. and it doesnt read anything. so i take off the terminal and pull on the wire, and a 2 inch piece comes out of each!! only 1 strand connected in one of them. cut it back to good wire, and measure, and i get 4.5k ohms!!! which is what the yama manual says. going to get some screw on ngk caps, reset my carb to stock again , and test it today! wish me luck!!!
