all it consists of is a couple bolts, lock washers a small plate and a rubber stopper to plug the hole on the intake manifold. you could make one yourself if you wanted and they would all perform the same
it's not that they are bad, but given that such an easy fix can save your engine, why take the risk. Yeah, you gotta mix oil now, but spending 20-30 minutes getting rid of the oil injection could save you 500 bucks down the road.
And yeah, just go with the cheapest. I think buying straight from ebay would be the best bet unless you're ordering other items from riva/dennis kirk
I keep running my toys with the injection pump because I like the freedom of pumping gas in (at the marinas for example) and riding some more. Not one have fail me so far and thats in over 10 years of riding with different injection systems (street bikes, sled, dirt bikes and pwcs).
Some of them already had it blocked off so I left them that way. I just dont use the premix toys for long rides.
I have a WRIII for my kids that I want to convert to premix.
Is there any problem with just leaving the oil pump on there and running short hoses between the two fat hose barbs and the two skinny hose barbs, instead of using a blockoff plate?
