Why did kawi change their colours??? Can anyone tell me what colours on my 650 start stop switch go to on my 750 small pin motor. On the start stop I have- Orange, White, Blue & Black and on the 750 electrics I have - a Black, White, Yellow with red stripe & Red with blue stripe.
Any help appreciated. Thanks guys

Set your meter to the ohm's scale. Hold the meter leads on two wires. Hit the one button and see if the meter registers. If it doesn't try a different combination of wires. When your meter moves, you've found which two wires go to that exact button.

Take apart an old 750 switch to figure out what color wires go with the start button and what wires go with the stop. Do the same with the 650 switch and then match them up at the motor.

Only got the 650 start stop. :banghead: Might have to be trial and error. Need to be on the water for the first run tomorrow.

Did you totally just disregard my post? Buy a meter and ohm them out. It will take you under 1 minute to correctly identify then this way. Why would you do it by trial and error and risk shorting out the switches?

No I didn't disregard your post! I have established which wires go to the start switch etc but my main problem is I have 4 wires coming from the electrics and I have no idea how to connect the four from the start switch to these as they are different colours and I assume that they will have no power or resistance to check with a meter.
Thanks for all the help guys.
