Why do you say it is running hot? Is steam coming off something? Are the plugs super white? Does it cause burns if you touch something?

Get a temp sensor from harbor freight for $5. You might find that its a safe temp. 140 degree feels very hot to the touch. My motor is hot enough to be pretty uncomfortable to the touch but I can put my hand on it for 2-3 seconds with no burns.

I'll being one home from work to check the temp. It gets hot to vaporize the gas once it cools off starts right up. An hot steaming from the head an can't touch the head or exhaust. But water is going though it cause its still pisses out

Your posts are not clear. Not sure if it your typing or your English.

In any case, there are a lot of things that can cause poor starting like that. Check the temp. If it's over 160, find a solution to that. You shouldn't be running hot with a stock motor or a pipe and a head, but you could go to dual cooling.

If the main complaint is running condition and a heat detector says the temp is reasonable, I would look more towards the carbs.
