650 and 701 whats interchangable as far as stuff like flywheel,bla bla...Wanting to build a 701 on a very strict budget, I have 650 engine parts don't want to have to buy stuff twice. Hope that makes sense....

crank, flywheel, stator, all electrics, but 61x cdi has higher rev limiter, can mod either to remove limiter, carb, that's pretty much it

bottom case is the same as well but I prefer to use matched sets.
However, if you are on a tight budget...............

If you had a complete 650, the crank, carb, starter, flywheel, stator, and e-box can all be used to build a 701/61x motor. You'll need cases, cylinder, head, intake, reeds, pistons, and gaskets. Most used cylinders need to be bored or honed too.
