Super Jet 61x or 62t

So this all started when my stock motor got leaky seals and I wanted more power in my 701 square. So I ended up collecting enough parts to build up 2 motors a 61x platform with a Wetjet intake and 46mm Wetjet carb and a 62t platform with stock 38mm carbs. Which will have more bottom end when mated with a Factory B pipe? I'm leaning towards the 61x setup just because it's an easier swap. The other motor will probably go in my other ski this winter for next season

Do some swapping.
Use the 62T bottom end, with the 61X top end. That will produce the most power.

A 62T cylinder shines once you find a low enough pitched impeller and bore your nozzle. There is a trade-off between response and power, the 61X cyl having better response, 62T making more power. Just about every impeller made is too much load for 701s, especially high port cylinders with pump gas compression. Flatten out a Concord and you're good to go either way.

Agree 100 % with the above statement. Most people overprop their skis and don't even realize it.
