61X + 62T?

are the cases interchangeable? can you use a 61x lower with a 62T upper case? and its my understanding that a crank out of a 61x will work in a 62T? thanks!

you can mix and match 61x/62t cases and cylinders but you want to use a match set of cases (upper and lower case halfs)

all 650/701/760's use the same bottom case half, which is actually marked 6m6...but most people consider it good practice not to mix and match case halves due to concerns about the machining matching up as DAG said.

The cranks are all interchangeable, I think I've heard that there are some slight differences in the 650 cranks but still compatible.

I am sure someone will post up they do it all the time, and it is fine.....

Case halves are cast, machined and line bored as a set. Mixing up a set is NOT a good idea, as they can/will be out of spec. Too tight or too loose on your crank bearings. Get another matched set.
