550 turning

Hey my 550 will not turn left...is there something i need to tighten up or change the cable?

what you mean, you cant make it turn left or physically it wont turn left, like the steering is messed up??

yeah i turn the bars to left wen im riding and it wnt go left..i turn t he bars to the right and it will turn right ..but not to the left

make sure your steering nozzle is straight, when your bars are.

also grab the nozle, and try to move the bars. there should be only a little play.

Could be a broken cable. They will push, but not pull.

Have you moved anything in the engine area or adjusted the steering cable lately?
There are rubber blocks on the inside of the hull that hold the steering in place, make sure the steering cable is snapped into the the rubber blocks.
Make sure the pump is centered when the bars are centered. If its not, the snap end of the cable that hooks to the ball on the turn plate is adjustable, so youc an adjust it accordingly.

yeah check that cable keeper to make sure that it holds the steering cable in its place, I remember this happening once on my sxi and i turned out to be a snapped cable.

Bad cable or cable holder on the end is broken or disconnected....

Mu buddy had the same problem, jetdude's suggestion was exacty what was wrong
