300/440/550 550 electrical experts

my 550 will kill a battery in less then 24 hours just sitting in the garage.It runs fine so I have just been pulling the positive but I would like to find the problem. What could be pulling the charge

It would probably be something in the ebox but it's more likely to just be your battery. Unless you ride your ski every day it's pretty common for the battery in your ski to start to get bad. Most of my skis will have a dead battery if I let them sit for more than 24 hours.

Take the ebox apart and check that none of the wires are rubbed through.

yup no spark now, ebox has to come out. i just had to replace the entire grounding system on a 440 cause it had melted.

so for yur 550 , check all ground wire , all the time the ground is the problem .....

You cant put a price on a good day at the lake that you hood doesnt come off. If most people add up how many wasted trips to the lake they had trying to figure out there problems they would be past the price of a good rebuild anyways. More power to you good luck.

haha thats crazy i just found that pic off the net, small world eh. I couldn't agree with you more jetski9010 you cant put a price on a good ride and luckily im close to the lake and bring lots of tools so we never waste a trip to the lake, its just the price of a JSS rebuild is what i paid for my 550 hahaha. On that note i took apart the ebox today and everything looked fine so my guess now is the stator
