46mm carb on stock intake manifold... ??

Hey all you guys running 46mm mikuni carbs... Have you all paired them with the wetjet craze intake manifold , or have any of you drilled out the carb bolt holes and ran with the bigger carb on the original manifold , and if so how does it work. I have located a 46mm carb but am having trouble getting hold of the wetjet intake and am tempted to run with what I have.... Any advice greatly appreciated.. Thanks.

It works fine. You'll need to bore out the throttle cable bracket too.
