Just won a set of carbs off eBay for 150.00 bucks :arms: :arms: now I need a manifold (701 62T) should I look for anything special? Do I need different reed cages than what were with my 38mm?

The carbs are off a Kawi pro.

Thanks

No...the stock reeds & cages should fit on there.
I think I Have an R&D manifold to mate those carbs to 62T cases, if that's what you want.
THe most desirable manifold is the R&D Dominator - you can mount the carbs standard or turned around, and there's a special plate on there that lets you take the carbs off (for tuning) very easily. This is NOT the manifold I have.
The Riva manifold is similar, except that it doesn't have that quick release plate.
The R&D Manifold I Have lets you mount the carbs only the standard way (fuel pumps towards engine). Mounting them opposite to that is apparently better.

The Riva is a better choice, the air flow is more direct, not coming in at an angle, also, the spacing is wider making carb installion much easier.........

The R&D Std manifold is much harder to install and remove the carbs from...........

Dominator is the best option if you plan to be taking them on and off alot..................... I run the Riva.........

I don’t plan on taking the carbs on and off except for the initial tuning. I have not removed my 38,s for a couple years; the only time they were off was initial tune.
