440 Top End $50

I think its a 440 top end? Bore looks untouched but does have some rust that needs cleaned up. you get everything seen in this pic minus torq wrench. I also have the head bolts. Everything is useable. $50+ shipping

More than likely that's a 440 , for sure that is a 440 manifold and exhaust pipe , the dead giveaway is the two extra head studs , those two extra head studs were only used on older model 440's with Aluminum cylinders.

Aluminum cylinder ? , if it is it's defiantly a 440 , I don't know of any 550's that ever had the additional head studs , if you look at a 550 head the place for the hole is there but it's not drilled out .

We used to take the Aluminum 440 cylinders , press the sleeves out then bore the cylinder to accept new 550 sleeves , you had to drill out the two extra holes in the 550 head for the extra head studs , my first 550 was that way till I got the 550 reed motor put in it .

If that cylinder is Aluminum and I believe that it is , I may be interested , I have an itch to build another 550 like I stated earlier , punch it out and install 550 sleeves , God only knows why .

Let me make sure I don't already have one first , if I don't yeah I will take it . Yes I do actually have so much stuff that I am not sure on this one lol .

I don't want the head, pipe or intake manifold though , none of that is of any use to me.
