300/440/550 440 Help needed

My Mate has an old 440 which he just bought, but is having problems with.

I need to find out what high and low speed settings are, and what the ohm readings should be on the stator, charge coils and HT coil?

It seems to be dropping spark, and needs some carb adjusting as well.
Can anyone help with this?

charge coil green-black 1.2-1.8 ohm green-green 2.4-3.6ohm
exciter red-black 216-324 ohm
pulser red-gray 52-78 ohm before 1980 and 20-30 ohm after 1980.
ignition coil primary .39-.47 ohm pre 1980 (no # post 80)
secondary 9.5-11.5 K ohm pre 80 4.5-6.7 K post 80-
