Due to covid messing things up , and i bent the driveshaft and impeller today with a piece of drift wood , cancelling the sale. The ski is not legally registered in my name and a hand written bill of sale i got when i bought it will not suffice for ownership to ship across the boarder. i went to the boarder today and was notified from them that i would need a legal receipt to transfer into my name for proof of ownership and would then be required to pay an additional $2000 in taxes. then i could export it out of Canada and the buyer would be responsible for import fees and any sales tax the state requires. sounds like a huge head ache that i never thought was going to be an issue
if the boarder was open id drive it the 20 min from house across and ship from Sumas WA
i apologize for not looking into this further and assuming like parts its as simple as drop off , state value and ship
