2008 Superjet nozzle position question.

Our new to us 2008 SJ has the factory trim on the steering nozzle that is held fixed in place by a bracket. Looks to be the stock setup according to the parts diagram.

I was surprised to see the fixed trim position is not neutral, it's up some. Is that right? The ski came with a longer ride plate to keep the nose down, but trim is set up?? Makes no sense?

My '08 is set up the same way. For some reason it is set that way from the factory. Maybe because of the front sponsons? I really don't know either.

I was thinking of slotting the bracket and adjusting the trim to neutral to see how it handles.

I thought about doing that but just never got around to mess with it. Let me know what you find out.
