14” xscream pole

I’ve shortened several and it literally takes 15 minutes start to finish once you know what you need. I would highly recommend you do your own pole mocked onto your hull with pole pad and bars in place. When the pole is that short, any tiny variation in the angle on how upper is welded to the core has a huge impact on layout. You almost certainly will need more angle on the upper as the pole gets shorter. Keep in mind, more angle does begin to limit some clearances of cables as you telescope in and out. I would be happy to share my experiences with you privately if interested.

I fix steer my skis.... my adapter plate extends the steering back a couple inches more than a comp (16") comp pole would be in an up position where I ride... this in turn makes steering too far back.. My adapter also adjusts but i've found at 14" (i have a 14 on one helium and a 16 on the other) puts steering where I like it even when all the way in. I may just remove pole and have someone weld it up, I could actually straighten the angle a little also which would help with cable bend at the holder which has been an issue in the past..

+1 on doing it yourself. Idk if it’s quite 15 mins lol but the steering plate part of the pole can be carefully cut out and it will “register” itself in the new cut pole and make welding easy. I converted my full length to comp last year and was not difficult.
