'08 Superjet.. steering system question

Just put a steering kit on my '08 superjet and really bummed because I cant use the middle or outter quick steer setting. the cable is right at the max on the slowest setting.

I have the stock handpole which they changed in '08. What's up with it being so gimp? The nozzle is also different so i cant get that quick steer plate either. Anyone know how to make it so I can use the outter settings?

Edit: Since I don't have any money for now.. What would I have to do to make the pre-08 steering cable work with the stock 08 hand pole. I may be up for making that work rather than replacing it all. Have the time, and wouldn't mind doin some work to get it done as long as it's gonna keep costs down. Just don't want to waste money on a cable and get into something when I don't know if it's possible. Any pointers?

Yeah, Sell me your '08 pole and buy an '07 or older. The '08 is an FX-1 pole and they work great for us lowly FX riders!

just sell the entire 2008 steering, add some bucks and you will have something really nice.

I have a brand new 07 pole, a nice UMI steering setup with a blowsion shortened plate and UMI zero degree bars... an 07 steering cable...and an 07 exit and steering nozzle!

Whachu want?

I had the same problem. Bought an rrp pole,pre 08 steering cable,and xmetal steering system. I can only use the middle hole on the xmetal plate otherwise the cable still bottoms out. I did move the cable in on the nozzle. I had to grind the pump a tiny bit and little bit of the nozzle to get full turn. Its perfect now. Definetly recommend it.

Good plan. Now I gotta find some money. How far in were you able to move the cable? Looks like there's not too much to grind on the pump before it will mess stuff up.

best bet is to sell ur stock pole and cable to special fx (he bought both of mine too) and just use that money and pick up a pre 08 pole and cable.

I hear you about the money. The RRP setup is crazy expensive.

Im with this problem. Complete RRP setup and 2012 steering cable.
Not enough trow anyway.
