Super Jet 08+ steering whats the deal....I no its bean talked about

ok i need to get my 09 sj to turn better Ive read that the steering cables are the problem is this the truth....I am a welder/fabricator so i can make the stock turn plate exrended and modify/make brackets but if the cable is the actual problem that does me no good...so what have u guys done to urs or what products have u bought...im tryin to get a plan together soon before i jump into it so i have some direction .....can u drill a whole closer to the nozzle to get more throw or will th cable bottum out? info please guys

Im using a 08+ pole in my SN, with stock cable but with x-metal adjustable steering system otherwise the cable would not work. I think its the cable in the 08+ that are not that great?
