manufatures have 2 choices...
1.) phase out the stand-up
2.) four stroke the stand-up

my guess is #2... anyone got the skinny on this? :sneaky:

Choice #3: clean up the 2 strokes.
Choice #4: sell dirty old 2 strokes, but only in the south where nobody gives a crap.

i remember watching stunt junkies or something on tv, and some guy on a stand up was trying to jump houseboats, he had a 4stroke S/U, total thumper but it moved pretty good.

guy said it was a prototype ski.

That was Chris MacCluggage. I don't remember him saying that his HydroSpace was a prototype.

not all 2-smokes are dirty, in fact some are cleaner then 4-strokes. Look at the Evinrude E-Tec 2-stroke (Outboard boat engine), its cleaner then most all other comparable 4-stroke outboards (Merc. Verado, Yamaha etc.) only downside is its very expensive.

I saw that too... it was just the normal turbo charged 4-stroke HydroSpace... no prototype though... it was already being raced by then I believe.
