03 Superjet Fuel issue!? Help before season ends!

well the last 3 times out on my 03 superjet the low end is getting worse and worse like its to lean. if i gas it hard it wants to die. it felt like water inthe water box originaly the next day it felt like it was running to lean and dying and today it just wanted to die out on me when doing under 15 mph. if i got up to speed over 20mph it ran great and was strong . i rode about a mile wide open with no problem. as soon as i slow down to a little over idle and gas it it dies and yeah. it seems like its not sucking fuel.

step one. change plugs
step 2 richen the mixture... this did not help.
step three take the res line off the switch and go directly to carbs. Kind of helped but barely.
step 4 put her on the trailer and got pissed.

any one no what this could be. its VERY speratic like it wants to suck fuel somtimes and other times it doesent.

list of mods to motor:
protec pipe and manifold
r and d head
35mm domes
primer (which as low speeds if i do helps)

please help before this season is dead

take the carbs off, clean them, blow out the lines, take a good look at the filter...might a well replace the filter.... mine did that @ southern fried freeride, took my carb off, handed it to paul, had a little chunk of rust stopping up the pop off,

drain fuel/water sep
replace fuel filter
Blow back lines to tank to make sure they are good and clear and free of backpressure
check pulse line to make sure it is sound.

its crazy because some times it will run beautiful like it did. then most if just wants to die out.. but its wierd how its on and off good and bad.

yup, my thought is that little chunk would back out of the way sometimes, or heck, maybe get sucked through & replaced by another.....but it's a cheap fix if that's it, but i'd definately replace the filter if you sunk it

Andy, definitely replace the fuel filter... pull the carbs and clean them out... i had that problem before with water in line... large water droplets will get clogged in the carbs and keep fuel from passing properly. it can move around a bit so it appears to be intermittant. It doesn't hurt to clean them anyway, even if you find no water in them.

I just did a guys seadoo with the same problem... his was actually showing signs of rust in the carbs. :pat:
