that's normal for a 550 IMO, you can try opening the low screw a bit for the acceleration issue, but in the end I'd recommend a squarebody carb swap

if you wanna save money get a dual carb intake and another 44, i run dual novi 48s on my 760 and its got the rpms up and down

i always do top screw closed, middle screw closed, and bottom screw 1/2 turn out on the b pipe, but this is with 2 lines going in

i miss the superjet blue, it just screamed yamaha

maybe a bearing went bad in the pump and its bogging down the motor? you could always take it in to a shop for a diagnostic

see if you sucked up something in the pump, ive sucked up some wood chunks and my ski would do exactly what you're describing

my 760 bob gen 2 did some flatwater flips even with a stock pump

its a 701 poked to 760 by riva, dual 48mm novi carbs, v force reeds, blowsion head, factory b pipe, x metal water box, 144 mag pump (08 sj impeller), x-metal trim, and epic ignition, all tuned by derrick sr. at the ski clinic.

all of a sudden everyone's gonna be running pretty aftermarket flywheels lol

lots of thread locker on the bolts that clamp down the bars

5 ft long tube or so around a wrench always works, try spraying penetrating oil to soak the threads as well, this will eat rust and other forms of corrosion

That ski has seen a lot of different places in it's lifetime, it came second place next to Lee stone in the World Finals when Lee took amateur.
