come on doesnt anybody have any ideas? i dont wanna blow this thing up.

I have a 89 440 that is all stock. when I start it up it idles high and by high i mean like half throttle or more it seems like. The carb is set to the stock setting and the idle set screw is all the way out. any other things i can check? Thanks

I bought this ski and another 550 that runs perfect for $250. the story was that he had a extra 440 hull and a running 300sx motor so he just put them together tho motor starts and runs fine without the pump in, he just said he never got around to shimming it. i was just hoping to get it to run...

I recently bought a ski that has a 300sx motor in a 87 440 hull, the motor runs great but the pump is out of the ski at the moment. The guy i bought it from said i have to shim it because the prop was hiiting the inside of the pump , how do i go about doing this? Thanks.
