Just to pass on some info. I had hooked up the battery to the red & black on the 4 pin connector on back of dash. I was told I had to add the green wire to the positive & it worked. Dash lights up

Yeah I was just testing things for power. Was hoping everything worked before I closed the electric box up, but is what it is.

Guess I’ll have to button it up & see…

I do not…so another gauge it’ll be then…

97 Waveventure, my 1st ski & went in blind on restoring it. I currently have it wired up (temporarily) all wires seemed evident by color where they went except 2 green coming from the stator . I was told it didn’t matter which green was plugged into each green. The engine cranks, but not one...

I do have a manual. I would’ve thought there’d be a separate section just for cooling diagram. After looking at it a number of times I realized I have to look in different areas & was able to find some but not all. Thanks

I just watched that. The larger holes on gasket you’re using are the same size on both cylinders. Mine is a 3 layer steel gasket where the larger holes are different size on only 1 cylinder. This is where I was having trouble.

Thanks…so the way it sits in pic is correct. been trying to find out why the holes for water flow are different sizes & was told the bigger ones face intake, but was never told towards front or back.

In the process of building my 1st 2 stroke & much of this I’ve never seen. It’s a 97 760, & have a question about head gasket orientation. Say the bottom of pic is the front of the engine, is this correct position?
