Awesome, I would love to have that conversation. I am still stuck on the Yamaha OEM variable ignition timing and if it really was variable like they claimed. All the component part numbers are interchangeable throughout the years. -

It sure looks like the CDI part numbers are the same for pre and post 08’s, and I don’t see anything extra on the parts list between the years. ♂️. -

I have been curious for a while and can’t find an answer on how (what components) the 08 and up Superjets are electronically controlling their timing. Mainly, can this easily be added to older 701 SJ’s. I would love to just look at one, but I am stuck in a desert and don’t have that privilege...
