Warm weather is here in Kansas so time to starting wrenching again. Picked up a 2019 gp1r hull in January on a vacation to the west coast. Got another running ultra 250 from a copart insurance auction. I’m hoping I can take it up a notch and build turbo , aftermarket ecu 1500 gp1r.

Did some pump tuning at the end of summer and was able to get 7800 rpm and 71.1 mph with good water conditions . I still am 3-400 rpm and 1 psi boost low . Going to add a 6 degree ignition advance to the ski and I should pickup another 300 rpm . I think 73 maybe 74 is achievable with good water...

Installed 17/27solas , now getting 68 mph but low on rpm. Currently pulling 73-7400 rpm and 9lbs boost . Should be 8-8100 and around 12 lbs . Going to repitch the trailing edge to a 24 and re-test.

Added a 3rd cooling line to the exhaust and heat wrapped it . Added a 3rd 1/2” line off the pump . Now have 2 1/2” feeding the engine and one just for the intercooler . Got it on the water for a test ride . Water conditions not good with 30-40mph winds . Stock prop and intake grate . 64mph...

Finally got time to get engine built over the 4th of July . Installed Amazon boat fuel tank level sender in oem tank and then gauge in factory key spot . Mounted the key on the right side. All stuffed in there . Very little room to work with 4” air inlet piping , 2.5” exhaust , and two 2.5”...

I used the 20 in superjet , fit great with one thick spacer they provide.

Yes been running one in my superjet, works great . Running the 14 size in freestyle ski with t/l, another 14 in a quad , and size 9 in a ktm dirt bike . Zero issues with any of them .

I work outside daily , heavy equipment field service . Here in KS we have been 103-106 degrees with realfeel 110-118. Absolutely brutal yesterday running a torch in the direct sun with a realfeel of 114.
