Yup, mine was most definitely the ignition coil. Bought one from jetmaniac and the thing rips. Thanks everyone for your imput

Keep me posted. My new coil and carb rebuild kit just came in so I'm going to install it all and see what happeneds

I'll see if I can find where that is. I'm not super familiar with how these work. Are the reeds in the intake manifold? Also I checked the spark and compression and they were both good

Hey so my 91 super jet with a 94, 61x 701 motor with stock carb. b pipe. And aftermarket head has no power going full throttle. It idles fine but has no top end power. Cleaned the carb twice. Looking for any insight on what the problem could be. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So will the 701 motor just bolt in place of the 650? and i found a website called shopSBT.com and they sell a 701x motor and a 701s. do you have any recommendations? i thought i found through the research i did that the 701s motor was the one to get. also was thinking of...
