I can understand why the nose is engineered the way it is. The TR1 is a tall engine and needs more hood height then the 701. To make the frontend more streamlined they would of had to lengthen the hull which none of us want. They put in max effort to make it as short as possible,sacrificing some...
Dreams will come true this yr except the weight portion... Its 111lbs heavier then the 2 stroke which is actually less then I had expected
it to be. It will be right in the middle between the 2S SJ and SXR1500, in a class of its own.
Lol I didn't come here to convince anyone of anything, I could really care less if the Johnny Skeptical's don't want believe the EPAs information. Was just trying to be helpful and let you guys know what is/isnt coming this year in the PWC world.

Oct 6th was the media release date, our dealers in the Midwest didn't have any till spring.
So emissions testing was done 4-5 months prior to media release. Pretty standard time frame for all vehicles/powersports from what iv seen.
SXR 1500 came out in 2017. It was first emission tested June 2nd 2016 then retested Nov 16th 2016, they must have changed the mapping or something to need a retest.
Not profitable enough for them to come out with a brand new ski to sell to closed course racers only, the demand just isn't there to make it worth while. It also couldn't be sold in California or New York per state laws.
Nothing major, a few sub model changes. Such as a GTI Pro.
I don't know if they will keep making the current 701 SJ or not. I hope they do.
All I know is that there is no new 4 stroke SJ coming out that everyone keeps talking about.
The 701 is a exception that is no longer retested yearly.
The 701 SuperJet is classified as a “competition use only” pwc. It does not currently pass emissions so there is no need to even test it. This is why you need to obtain a ISJBA card to prove you are a "racer" in order to buy a new SJ.
I have the sheets for every engine yamaha is making for 2020 and what models they are going into. I just posted part of the TR1 sheet since that was the engine people seemed to be questioning the most.
A turbo TR1 would be tested separately and have its own paperwork.
It's mandatory federal testing that yamaha has to do if they want to sell the product in 2020. If it's not on that paper it's not happening, simple as that. I guess we can revisit this in a few months to show that I was not "speculating" lol.
No need to speculate, the info is already out there if you know where to look. Iv have been following these reports for 5yrs and they have never been wrong.
