I emailed FP about those two bolts and was told to grind down the outer sides of a 12mm open end wrench. Did that and was able to get those nice and tight.

My 2008 SJ leans to the right when floating, the top of the rail is about even with the water. Is that normal? I know the battery is on that side but I dont think it would make it lean that far. Or am I looking at water or wet foam? Thanks!

Hi all, I put an ADA girdled head on my 08 SJ yesterday. What do I do with the stock temp sensor that went into the old head? No mention of it in the install instructions. Thanks!!

Did you give up in the two top/middle exhaust manifold bolts? I dont see them there. Or is it just the pic... My eyes went there because I just had a bish of a time getting those two in on mine. Very nice ski!!! :beerchug:

I used uship.com to get my SJ from TN to CT. Worked out great.

No I havent installed it yet. I just got the ski (100% stock) and a bunch of aftermarket coming in the mail. I want to ride it once bone stock so I have an idea how well all the mods work as I put them on. Possibly this weekend. Im waiting on UPS for my wetsuit, its still too cold to ride...

I'm 40. First started on a friends JS300 in about '89. Bought a 650SX in '91 and rode that for 6+ years. Been out of the sport for 12 years and just bought an '08 RN. :wiggle:

I just used u-ship to get a RN from TN to CT. The guys that delivered it were great and good price. PM me if you want his contact info. He had a big enclosed trailer and I'm thinking he'd just load the ski & trailer and transport it that way. Edit - They go into FL too...

I've been wondering about this too, in particular when turfing rails, the edge where the turf meets the vertical side of the hull. That transition seems rounded. So what's everyone doing there? Does the turf butt up well enough or is there always a gap that needs sealant?

That looks like a 90 or 91. What did you find on the HIN?

Are you looking for a high or low carb dip? High carb I'd go with a spicy southwest black bean dip. Low carb maybe a nice spinach and artichoke. :pokey:

I had UHaul put a hitch on my '87 Celica 5-sp and towed skis with that thing for years. Couple 650s and a car load of people & vacation stuff. 5-6 hour trips. Never a problem. Like others have mentioned, just watch the brakes.
