Thanks. The wedge/turf turned out nice but there must be a better way to cut out the hole. That's the only part that doesn't look factory. I would keep the bottom piece longer next time and tuck it in. I may put in some foot holds for surf riding but that won't be until next winter. Ive never...
Good to know. I assume that the sealer around the holes does just that. Prevents any water from entering the hull. Thanks again for the advice. Now I'm just waiting for the delivery.
Thanks for the advice and the photos. I agree that on the SRX the sponson should go up to the bond line. I just ordered the destroyers from a supplier here in Tokyo. He gave me $50 off. I'm looking forward to the challenge. I hope the instructions are in english not just Japanese. I will post...
Really! Wow worth trying. Do the sponsons come with a template so I know the exact location. In tokyo they cost one $500 a set. Anyone know where I can
purchase a set cheaper including shipping to Tokyo.
Yes I will be installing them on my SRX. Epoxying the stainless inserts allows for easy removal. Now I get it. I'm trying to prevent having to take out the motor so if it is only fuel tank and water box then made I can do it myself. ($600 plus for installation here in Tokyo) I'm thinking that...
I have a question about installing the blowsion tubbie destroyer sponsons. I have been told here in Tokyo that I will have to take out the motor, gasoline tank, and water box to do this installation. However I read that this model was made so they can be removed easily. It they can be removed...
Thanks for the picture. I will cut my stocker. P.S. Great day of skiing on the river today with Japanese friends. Most of them were preparing their skis for the race season in a few months. Water was 4 degrees. Thank goodness for a dry suit and trusty BBQ. On a funny note: My friend Ooka san's...
Thanks everyone for sharing. This is a great community. I have learned so much from reading and looking at photo's. Lets keep supporting each other. if your every in Tokyo drop me a line.
What are your recommendations on prop for free riding. Bore the stock nozzle? What about intake and ride plate. Does anyone have any pictures on how they modified their stock steering to make it quicker turning. Thanks Tzane. I use to drive to Forida each winter with the family. (Chevy Chase...
I have been offered a used R and D chamber for $400 for my blaster 1. I'm not sure if this is a good deal or if an R and D chamber is a good choice. I'm starting to set up my blaster for free riding so I could use some advice. I'm also planning to purchase 701 quick steer and transom plate rear...
Most of the riders are racers or construction types who have parking. The sport is limited because you have to get a license( $600), you need to pay shaken(certification) on the jet ski and the trailer every 2 years.($300 plus) Then you have to find and pay for a parking spot. I'm lucky since I...
Paid $500 about 8 years ago for a 93 with trailer, launcher, new dry suit, 2 jet pilot jackets, and extras. Of course this was in Tokyo and the guy lost his parking spot.
Nice idea. Maybe too heavy to cart. I laid out big money for a factory zero made here in Japan. In my estimation they are the best. They are very light and the balance is perfect.
