I am slowly making progress. Between working full time, going to school full time and my senior project the ski is not getting the attention that she needs. So this is how I will be spending my spring break 2013!! in the Basement sanding away!!! Here are a couple more updated pictures of her...
Here is my 750 that I bought at the start of last season. She has always sat really low in the water and been really heavy so I decided it was a great ski to use for a first project before I upgrade to a RN. I am re-foaming and adding footholds. I plan on replacing the impeller (still looking...
Glad you figured it out!I know this is a little late but If you run into a problem like this again i would suggest starting the ski up in the water and one at a time pull the cooling lines off and see where you lose water pressure at or lose water flow all together.
Had a blast this weekend!! So glad I decided to come even tho the ski isn’t up to par. I would like to thank everyone that helped with lifting all the skis in and out of the water and everything else. I gained a lot of knowledge this weekend just from talking to people. Have to thank Darkwater...
I wish my job was to go drive sweet rally cars make sick videos and burn up a set of tires... heck you dont even have to pay me I would do it for free!!
Mikey B and I will be heading up Friday and are hoping that we get there in time that we can drop the skis in the water and get a little bit of riding in Friday evening. Cant wait!!!
I do not think it is a timing issue i believe i just need to play around with the jets. I think that high speed jet i have in it right now it to high (150) i am going to try jumping down to a 145 then maybe a 140 to start and then go from there. I plan on also getting a smaller low speed jet...
I was wondering the same thing i am working on tuning my ski in also and i went and read the "tuning for rookies" and its a great write up!!! But i was wondering if anyone could suggest where a good place is to start with jetting. Right now i have a 150 high speed jet and a 115 low speed. I have...
I dont think it has to do with he pump because the ski ran great before the kid i bought it from blew the motor up. The pump and everything is the same only thing different is the motor.
I do have a question about the timing mark on the flywheel.. I set up a Dial indicator to find tdc of one...
I did a leak down test and it seemed to go pretty well. The only thing really left to check would be the crank. I checked to see if the crank is twisted at all and it seems that it may be off by a degree or two but its pretty hard to tell for sure with the crank still in the motor. My uncle...
Love the hitch set up!! I was going to try and do something like that but i ended up going with just a bolt on hidden hitch was was very surprised how hidden it actually is with no receiver.
Absolutely!! The only down side is carrying all my gear, tools, and fuel inside the car. I do plan on build/buy a box to put on the trailer and a couple mounts for gas cans just have not decided how i am going to set it all up.
Yeah i do not get the bast gas mileage at all. It is only about 20ish when i am towing. I would have bought a truck but the only ones I can afford are several years old and dont get very good gas mileage as an everyday driver. When i am not towing i can average mid 20's but i also do a lot of...
One day i will get a truck but for now the impala will have to do. I will say I do enjoy all the surprised looks and comments I get when I am towing her around or backing into the launch. what do you guys think???
