Did you ever get those vent tubes for your hood? To see if its a reed problem, I'm guessing you have to remove the manifold and visually inspect the reeds to find any damage. It seems to me that a reed problem would happen during any throttling and not just after stabs. If stabs = water in hull...

You should open your top end and electrical box. I wouldn't be surprised you find some goodies if the 'arm ripping' you're getting is as hard as you say it is. Post a video too!

It's the battery; there's not enough voltage to open the solenoid. Buy a new one, then give it a go. If it still does 'nothing', test the solenoid and starter.

I have a set of carbs that had the throttle shaft/valve break and I was wondering where I can find the part for the EXTENDED 46i shaft thats threaded on both sides. I heard it may be possible to fit the regular BN 46 shaft and/or a aftermarket shaft to the 46i but I dont see how you can fit...

I tried squirting some gas down the cylinders and it started right up...i forgot that when i cleaned the carbs, i completely drained the carbs of gas and it wasnt priming gas into engine due to air i believe. I ended up fixing my own question again! Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone...
