Thanks for the input. I will try a combination of both ideas listed. Bringing the pivot point in should make the nozzle turn farther in both directions. Tweaking the steering center would allow it to go further to the left which would also be good.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

My new (used) stock 1992 X2 turns noticeably better to the right than to the left. This was confirmed by 2 other riders. None of us ride at an expert level so it becomes real obvious because we dont drag our feet or apply any other special techniques to make it turn left.
