I installed a westcoast pipe on my '92 X2 onto the stock manifold. The engine is stock also with good compression. It ran great with the stock pipe but seemed to lose alot of the bottom end power with the westcoast and just a nominal increase in top end. Any suggestions as to why??

I have a '93 XP with that I bought cheap. The engine runs great after installing 2 rebuilt carbs. Problem is, the engine revs out in the water but I get very little thrust. At half throttle it seems to surge ( grab and then slip) but it never planes out. Any more throttle and it revs quick...
