    stock bilge siphon in pump - ok to cut?

    I'm pondering cutting the long steel tube (flush with the surface) that currently sticks out inside my pump anout 1.5 inches. will cutting it back effect it from working or will the water flow from the pump still create suction to draw out the water? will it make any diffeence in performance...

    To help further reduce some cavitation I thought it might be a good idea to take my dremel to the intake grate and smooth things out a bit.     Skat-Trak Impeller

    I recently picked up a Skat-Trak that was repitched to 20-25 for my fx1. I read some threads that this is not the optimal impeller for my set up (ported but no pipe, yet). I was wondering if it'd be worse than stock if I can't get the RPM's up or if the difference would not be that noticable...

    coolant line - help!

    where does the coolant line that goes from the bearing housing (where pump shaft comes through) attach to? I'm just about done rebuilding a FX1 and this is one of the last little loose threads..! It's probably the same as a SJ. thanks, Brian

    ground cable from battery

    can enyone tell me where the other end of the ground cable from the battery attaches on a superjet. I bought one in pieces and am almost finished putting it back together. does it go to the electrical box (can't see where) or attach somewhere on the engine? thanks! Brian

    Porting the cylinder (intake)

    So I read the thread on porting 101, 201, etc.. (great one by the way) and I figured I'd just smooth mine out and match the cyl casting to the sleeve. In the process I did smooth out the sleeve some and maybe raised the port .5 to 1 mm max. how will this effect performance, if at all? I did...

    Carb setup for a 61x in a FX1?

    What's the good carburetor setup for a 61x engine? I've heard everything from dual 38's to a single 46 or 48mm. From what I have read it appears that a dual 38 setup would give me the best overall performance. Bore on the cylindar is 1mm over and I'm looking to also add a perfomance pipe...
