what would cause the gasket between the manifold and head pipe to blow on a 550.........the nuts were tight.........i was ridin and ate the lake......when i hit the throttle again it had no power, barely ran, and obviously sounded odd

can i use rtv to seal the cases or does it have to be threebond 1211.........and if so where can i get it without orderin it off the net

Its a 84 js 550. It doesnt have a pisser, it has one head fitting, one stinger fitting (a stinger is the lower pipe right), two head pipe fittings, and two manifold fittings. Please help me run the lines. I looked at the other threads and they are all for different situations. P.S. its a west...
