I grinding down the nozzle and put the steering cable further in to make it more quick steer. The picture is where my cable is when fully turned, it’s not quite bottomed out so I don’t need to put a screw in the steering stop correct? I haven’t done the extension on turnplate yet

If I take my stock 08 SJ and do the quick steer mod by tapping the outside hole on turn plate and drilling a hole closer to the nozzle for cable, will doing this make a difference if I keep my 08 cable or do I need to get a pre 08 to see a difference?

I bought a worx 201 and took it out today and ski was way harder to get it to release and spin around, I feel like it was funner with the stock grate. Are these am grates really only beneficial I’m surf? I only ride flat water really. I have stock steering so maybe that’s not helping it much

I know Worx 201 will fit 08-newer and that it has a deeper scoop, but the 228 was made specifically for 08+ cause they changed some things so should i go with the 228 for my 08 or get the 201?

When the ski fills up with water the only way to get it out is with bilge or flipping it over on land and I want the self bail to work. I can drive it a full speed for 5 minutes and when I check all the water will still be in there. Couldn’t find any threads on this?
