I am starting on a hull restoration on a 03 SXR, and have a question on cleaning up the bottom deck. What is the correct way to repair where the gelcoat has been gouged and rubbed through to the glass. Would it be better to sand down the complete lower deck to the glass then just use epoxy...

I have moved my engine 4 inches towards the pump. Has anyone else ever done this, and what handling characteristics arose or got better? Doing this has given me enough room to put the battery in front of the motor. Balance seems pretty good just floating. I have not riden it yet, still working...
