WaveBlaster 701 with dual 44 SBN's on Riva intake.
I have been chasing a run away condition. I had a rear seal pushed out a bit so I replaced all the crank seals and "assumed" I was all good. Reinstalled the engine and had an immediate run away again the minute I fired it up in the shop...
Left side - Inner seal. Open side down / Flat side facing out. Manf # on Flat side
Right side - Outter seal. Open side down. Manf # on Open side / Flat side facing out...
Paid no attenting when I removed the steering cable a few months back.. Installing new one today and see now there is a slight difference in lengths on the ends. Seems to me the shorter end goes at the handle bar end and longer to the pump. Just want to be sure before I start shoving it down...
I didn't pay attention when I pulled the old seal off. From looking at the parts list, it looks like the flat side goes up against the shoe and the side with the V towards the pump. Sound right?
1996 Waveblaster - Doing some periodic maintance and since I have my pump on the bench, figured I'd check, clean, and lube the bearings. Can I press the shaft out from this end (back of ski)? The impeller is still on but it looks like I can press it out to get to bearings and then just press...
