What causes this on cylinder walls?

Last season my superjet got really hard to start and felt slightly down on power. Over the winter I replaced the vforce reeds [they looked ok] and made sure the 2 season old oem mikuni carb diaphrams and what nots were still good and rubbery. All back together, I decide to do a compression test...

Want to Buy Coupler shaft 62E-51323-00-00

Looking for the coupler shaft that goes into the midshaft bearing. Part number is 62E-51323-00-00. These came in Blaster 1's and 94-95 650 VXR's [I know, weird]. Trying to not spend the $100 a new shaft costs and figured people were always parting out those old vxr's.

    Home porting question

So I'm using some yamanube porting templates. In the pic we are looking in the exhaust port and see the sleeve overhang [62T 701 cylinder from a raider] I know the red circled part is the port height and can't be touched unless I want a higher powerband. My question is, what about the rest of...

A silly question perhaps.. 62t cylinder line

Simple enough, what is this line on both sides of the bottom outside of this 62t cylinder? I've never seen it on 61x cylinders. About to cut down the intake side for porting and its mighty close.

    WTB- VXR650/WB1 midshaft

Building a blaster. Parted out a raider so I have a nice midshaft bearing, but the shaft is too long for the blaster. Apparently 94-95 650 VXR's used the same size. Trying not to spend $125 for a new shaft.

    93 Wave Blaster build up

I decided to document my build up over the summer of this 93 blaster. I have an all stock 61x setup in a 94 blaster, and it runs great. I wanted more power, but with mostly oem parts. So I decided I was going to build a blaster using a stock 760 pipe. The 760 pipe uses a much nicer exhaust...

    Parts interchange help

Hey guys. I'm building a blaster currently, and have a 95 wave raider to strip for parts. I have a couple interchange questions. First up is the midshaft bearing in the engine bay. From previous readings all the midshaft bearings from 701 superjets interchange. The blaster and raider have...

Whats the hot ticket for carving turns ride plate wise?

My current blaster has a jet dynamics intake grate with a stock ride plate. Sometimes when I'm trying to turn sharp the rear will just unload and instead of turning I'm skipping sideways like a stone. I'm assuming an aftermarket ride plate can help? Any one better then another? I know every...

    Raider/Venture pipe in a blaster

Over the winter I built my first blaster. Its awesome, but all stock with stock 61x exhaust[thanks sparkplug!] . I ended up trading a pair of carbs for another blaster thats a hull only and figured why not try and fit a 760 pipe in there, they give great linear power and I don't really care if I...

    Zastava AK

I have a friend from Yugoslavia, left when it fell apart and the wars broke out. He's always been jealous of my Yugo M70AB2 AK I built from a parts kit back in the early 2000's. 1989 manufacture. Even got the US receiver maker to custom serial number the receiver to match the rest of the parts...

    wth happened to hydroturf?

I have some cut triangle green on black turf [about a sheets worth in 2 pieces]. I wanted to try selling or trading it for the reverse, black on green. So I went to hydroturfs website to see current pricing to gauge what my stuff might be worth used. $115 for a single freaking sheet of...

    Exhaust exit location.

Long story short, I am now just realizing yami couches exit the engine exhaust into the pump area. I've also seen rear exit's, and front side exits on the old standups. Well, I was looking yesterday and noticed wave ventures have a cool dual exhaust outlet/tip. I thought it sure would look cool...

    OEM exhaust question

I'm putting together my first blaster from a bare hull. I went onto partzilla to look up the oem exhausts. I know the 96's were 62T motors, the previous ones were 61x. But the microfishe shows they all use the 61x style exhaust, along with the same M8 bolts. How is that possible on the 96 with a...

    SN exhaust hose

Any alternative hoses for the oem exhaust to waterbox on a square nose superjet? I sold the B pipe out of this flip ski and put a stock pipe back in. Need a hose to connect it, they don't make them anymore. Used ones are $100+ shipped. Any cheaper alternatives out there?

Did the blaster hull ever change?

Besides changing colors [and engine], did the blaster 1 hull change at all in the few years they made it?

    sm13 spins wrong direction

I bought a motorcycle sm13 [based on advice here] and swapped the rear cap with my old starter so it bolted up correctly. Starter is super strong, but its spinning in the wrong direction lol. I assume I can change that somehow internally?

    Superjet...wont turn off?

I re-assembled a square nose after getting the midshaft rebuilt by jetmaniac. Fired her up, runs great. Hit the stop button, nothing. Pull the lanyard, nothing. Finally pull the sparkplug wires and it shuts off. Tried again with same results. I think to myself, must be start/stop buttons. Just...

    Lets talk starters

I attached a pic of one of my starters. Backstory is it was in an engine that was locked up when I got it. I noticed how the housing had rotated by the bolts not being strait, but in testing it cranked fine. Fast forward a couple lake trips, and when its cranking it makes a bad noise now that...
