Saw a Jetmate on CL this weekend and picked it up!
Went to test it out today and noticed that anything passed 3/8th's throttle really didn't do anything.
Engine got slightly louder but that's about it.
It can get up on a plane, and the throttle is adjusted correctly and moves through it's...
Just got back from the lake and went to run the engine quick to kick out any left over water when the engine started to runaway...
Caught it all on my dash cam in my truck (well at least the noise)
I let the engine cool down and checked compression... 125 in each cylinder. Engine still turns...
I had an extra CDKII (38mm Keihin) carb lying around I bought a while back but never ended up using. Finally had a ski to put it in and realized I had a problem.

Went out on the ski last weekend for it's first real test run. Started up fine. Rode it across the lake no issues. Pulled it over to make sure that everything looked fine under the hood and that's when the trouble started. Engine would turn over no problem and started back up. But the second I...
Swapped an engine. Noticed there's about a good inch of open space between the face of the couplings. Only about half of one is engaging the other. When you gun the throttle it pulls itself together which kind of worries me. It looks like it will wear out pretty quickly operating like this...
Wanted to get into stand-up jet ski's. Decided to try the jump in head first approach. Researched as best I could and then bought a ski off craigslist. Figure not worth the stress of trying to find the perfect ski, just start with whatever I find and learn from there. This is what it looked like...
