have to say, start with the simple stuff first. check the wires make sure none a broken (even internally) check the connectors, make sure none are corroded or even pushed back so they don't make a good connection. i had a similar problem last year, i cleaned the connectors with terminal cleaner...

fyi my buddy had the same problem with his, we used a oem replacement. the same bushing from the stock steering from i believe a wave 2 or 3.

just my two cents... mine is next to the fuel valve and has been there a while. i use corrosion block and or wd-40 on the motor, and have never noticed the turf getting slippery. if that helps.. the front by the pissers sounds cool though.

150-155 psi.... you could easily bump that up to 175-180 with a head and get a lot more throttle response and power without sacrificing the reliablity for surf riding.. don't forget your bilge pump!!!

thanks! you have to explain why the premix is a better way to go, i really like having the oil injection on the motor, the oil seems to go alot farther, and i don't have to pre-mix anything. i worked as a watercraft tech at a yamaha dealership for years and never heard of a oil pump on one...
