i had the same problem with not seeing the vid until i went and updated my quicktime through the apple website, now all of the o'side vids play fine for me...im sure there is some cache-clearing needed to but i'm not the expert there soooo/experts chime in anytime lol... mmmmmmmmmmm...helmet...

does fc have a sharpen tool? i know in premier pro there is a trick to that where you run a blur effect, hit it with color correction, and then apply the sharpen to it and the shot will come out a little soft but still better than the original...

oh, and i almost forgot... the "not so good" footage from non 3ccd cams can be manipulated through editing and digital effects to bring it up to the same quality level, as long as you are working with the raw captured file (uncompressed)...

mmmmm, pana dvx 100 is the goods, although i have heard that it requires a ton of cleaning (like sending off kinda thing) somewhere in the range of two to three times a year...but it has larger ccd pick ups than the gl does so the image comes out smoother in some cases... canon gl2...i love...

those cams are cool and all, and i would kill to get my hands on that varicam for a week, but i would be bummed to have to lug it around all the time...
