I wouldn't worry about it, the inside of most of the yamaha hull's are bare fiberglass.

If you have silicone anywhere on the boat it will fisheye. I know some people use silicone spray as a corosion block I don't know if that's your problem or not. I have been told that fiberglass by itself will absorb moisture it need's to be sealed or gel coated.

Thank's I have been nervous about trying it, I am doing a vintage 550 this winter and it is smc of course, but what a biotch to sand these ski's. If I could strip it that would be awesome .

That's good to know will it soften or damage smc ?

Be sure it's your last paint job becasuse having to repaint it after the clearcoat/vinyl/metalflake will be a mess to strip off next time. .02
