Thank you guys for the input and the welcoming. I'm looking to spend around $1500 on my first one. Unfortunately, jet skis are tough to find used up here in New England so I'll probably have to have one shipped to me and I was trying to keep total cost under $2000. Any thing I should look out...

Like the title says, I'm looking at buying my first stand-up jet ski (that won't break the bank) and wanted some advice. I have done a bunch of research and it seems like a 650sx (from maybe the mid-90's?) may be a good way to go. I'm not sure how much it matters, but I'm a bigger dude too...
