Just wanted to add to my pic above of my nice rainy back yard. 80 miles away they got 6 inches of rain in a day. Here's some pics..
Luckily that's not my view.
There's a lot to it but I'll try to be quick..
My company didn't really challenge me and i worked too many hours so I didn't get to enjoy Hawaii...which is super expensive and has huge culture issues (island time = people are lazy). So I am out of my job 2 months ago, am from Juneau AK, came...
Woke up in Alaska for work. We are having a big fall storm I guess. 2-4 inches of rain and maybe flooding but I live next to the ocean so...I don't really understand how anything floods lol.
I don't research my purchases enough. A bit of an "all my life" issue. I like new ski but I never ride it in Hawaii and it would be a ton easier to move to Houston without having it. BUT, once i get to houston i plan on riding a ton.
Modifications specifically: Bought a 918cc for my SN...
Bringing it. I think I was quoted 1500$ shipped to Houston (plus more $$ for the stuff I own) and I really enjoy owning a Jeep. I think Chris has put my fears to rest about the hitch. I have an anti-wobble shim and should probably buy one of the hitches from the guy in Arizona when I'm back...
Cool, I'm moving to Houston so trying to find riders. I worry about the stock class 2 hitch but it has handled hawaii roads for a while just fine so far..
Where in Texas?
I have about the same exact Jeep with class 2 hitch and i think same hitch hauler. Just something bought from store. Always worried about it lol..
Hey where do you store your ski? I'm having to figure out my shipping of mine and where I'll put it. Also haha my timing on moving has changed. Sometime september. Going to Alaska for a bit to play firefighter.
Hey when you refer to degrees you should refer to direction/plane. Like "Hit the wave leaning 15 degrees to your left" or "approach the wave at a 15 degree angle pointing right from straight on".
Maybe I'm the only one but I didn't pick up on what the degrees referred to specifically.
One of my buddies in Alaska who's a big fan of Seadoo Spark/Alumaski (aka wasting his money on couches) goes pretty hard behind the fast ferry.
This is the boat he's chasing. We don't have roads connecting towns where I'm from so we use ferries. This ship is 235 feet long and goes 32 knots...
Had to look up who we know in common on facebook. There's a guy in Anchorage "Brian H." who rides a superjet on big lake. You might have already met him. If you wanted someone to ride with I could pass on his info. Although I just realized now that this thread got dragged up
