would a bad rectifier (regulator) cause the engine to run rough?

93 superjet is runnung really rough at idle an on throttle. Carb is rebuilt and did not help, don't think it is plugs, have tried new ones. don't think it is fuel. where is the next place to start looking? thanks

Found two for sale, kawasaki 650 and kawasaki 550 with dbl trailer for $1300. wondering if pricing is in the right range. I know it depends on condition, but i am not familiar with pricing per the specific models. thanks
