I have a 1990 550 that needs carb work. Is it hard or complicated to work on the carb's on these things? Would it be cheaper just to purchase a new one? Thanks trying to make a costly decision. Ski starts then dies after couple minutes.

The past owner said they ran but i haven't tried. A compression test is being done today. I didn't know if there was any regular maintance that could be done to help out.
