So I ground the nubbin so the steering cable would not rub with my custom trim set up. So today it blew out. 10 minutes of riding for the year.
1). Cut the rectangle nub short and thread it for a brass 90 degree fitting?
2). Tap the other side for a 90 degree fitting in the cylinder...
So when I put on my ATP handle pole bracket, it also changed the hood hooks. But the stock seal was too thick to let the lip of the stock hood swing in and seat in the groove of the hull/seal.
I cut up strips of hydro turf to mock up in the groove of the hull. Now the hood swings in just fine...
The jell coat has stress cracks under the pole bracket. This is BS if you ask me.
Anyway, I found the Canadians may have the solution to my problem. Anybody try this ATP bracket with a stock handle pole?
Looks like it would be strong.
