I'll throw a vote for the Odysseys. My last one was in my SJ for 9 years and I only bought a new one because the age was starting to make me nervous. My SJ is set up very similar to r12xmark's.

The cases in a 98 SJ are 62t cases. The cranks used in 61x cases (94 and 95 SJ) were the same cranks used in 96+ SJ 62t cases. You should be able to move your 61x crank into your 98 SJ 62t cases without any problems. Good Luck!
