I'm pretty sure these newer Rickter plugs/molds were CNC designed as most are in todays AM hull market . I know Rick was involved in the early hull designs ,which involved shaping and sculpting the plug but the latest were all CNC (computer designed) which Im sure was done at VK by a computer...

the same reason why we buy from china...$$ TC told me once that if they built the rickters here in the US, the cost would be more than doubled .

I think,IMO, that VK composites own the rights to the rickter molds. With that said, I think rick r didn't want re new their contract because of $$. Now, there are a few builders that rely on rickter hulls to make a living so I do not blame them for jumping ship so they can continue providing...

BTW, just to clarify, that's a watercraft factory stealth hood ...not 24/7 GLWTS
